Instructions

  1. Prepare filling by cooking all ingredients except pecans and vanilla over moderately low heat to the point of boiling, about 5 minutes.
  2. Pour into a small bowl and add vanilla.
  3. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  4. Arrange pecan halves, tops up, in a partially baked 9 inch pie crust. Pour filling over pecans. Bake for 20-25 minutes. Cool before cutting.
